The Bridge Of Sighs links the Ducal Palace to the new prisons beyond the Rio.
It was built in the 17th century by Antonio Contin. The first prison was built in 1561.

The bell tower top tip, is really not to use the interior elevator
(it is quite modern inside the tower) and go up to the tower top
on the hour, as the bells chime and they can make you quite deaf you know.
They are very, very, loud.
